Bucegi Mountains : 7 Scari Canion / Ialomitei's Cave and Monastery / Babele Chalet - Omu Chalet -

Day 1
"7 scari waterfall and canion"

As I didn't take many pictures of the canion, which is quite beautiful and impressive, I continue with more of what we did next. I planned to go to sleep at Babele chalet but what you plan is not what always happens.
So after the canion, we went by car till the end of the Transbucegi road, which was finished a few years ago that goes up in the heart of bucegi mountains, one hours walk from Babele chalet.

Beauties

We were so happy to arrive at the chalet to finnaly eat a hot soup and relax, when we found out that there were no more beds available and they wouldn't let us sleep on the floor, as we came prepared with sleeping bags and isopren. Great news, we had to return back to the car, just the way we came and also find a place where to rest for the night. At least we still had sunlight, for the moment.
I really enjoyed that there was almost nobody at the "sphinx" and I could admire the view without anyone climbing around.

In the meantime,we decided to camp to the closest camping we could find that eventually turned out to be a great idea.. What was I thinking ?  It's summer 30 degrees during the day, what can go wrong?  We hardly found the camping as we couldnt see where the entrance was exactly because you had to literally go thought a small river-lake-water:)) to enter.

Zanoaga camping, looked pretty good at that time but I can't compare it with anything else since it was the first time camping for me. However, they had showers, toilets and fireplace where you can make barbecue. But as we arrived after sunset, our main concern was to install the tent as soon as possible :)) In the end, we did it.
It is always a fun thing to try new things, even though this means to sleep at 0 degrees for the whole night. Or at least try to sleep. And when I think that I convinced my friend that it can't be that bad and it's not so cold because it's summer... What a foul..but still I would do it again. And I did.

Day 2

Little furry friend

After waking up and warming up(literally), I was planning exactly which trails we were gonna do when we meet the guys who slept in the tent next to ours. After they tell us what their plan was, we decide to join them which ends up to be a better choice. So the plan is to go by car to the Pestera village, from where we take the cable car to the Babele chalet, right were we were a night before. Who would have thought that we would be there again in a few hours...
But first, before going to the cable car station (in Pestera) , we go by walk to Ialomitei Cave, a walk that takes about 20 minutes though a forest that looks like it is taken out out of fairytales.

After this little tasty snack, we return back to the main trail,so we take the cable car to the top of the mountain.
Once we arrive at the Babele chalet, we follow the trail to the Omu Chalet, which takes about 2 hours walk while you can see fabulous landscapes.

This dog was so sweety and he didn't seem to care about anything in this world. This is the kind of influence that I need in my life:)) Good thing we met again after a while when I came back on this trail.

I don't think there is much to say as the pictures speak for themselves.. Gorgeous places that I didn't know they even exist in Romania until I saw some ideas on this amazing blog http://bloguldecalatorii.ro/ . Enjoy and get inspired too.
